$600 rebate for quad bike rollover bars
The Victorian government in July announced a rebate of $600 to Victorian farmers to go towards the cost of fitting “operation protection devices” like rollover bars.
Unfortunately the statistics are fairly sobering, with 22 people dying in quad bike accidents across Australia last year. Despite the debate and personal preferences surrounding rollover bars, in Premier Daniel Andrews own words… “we can do better than this”. In addition, Worksafe Victoria also announced plans for employers to be required to install roll protection devices on quad bikes.
If you’d like to take advantage of the Victorian Government’s rebate then just pop into store and see Trevor who’ll be able to step you through the process.
In store we have two different brands available. They include:
- ATV Lifeguards – a segmented rollover bar that has the ability to mould around a person’s body, limbs or head on impact. It can’t collapse or flatten and will support the quad off the ground and help to provide crush protection for the rider.
- Quadbar – a small unobtrusive, hairpin shaped hoop mounted on the quadbike behind the rider designed to counter some of the risks associated with typical rollovers.
So what now? Come in store and we’ll be able to discuss the best rollover bar for your bike and can get you started on your rebate straight away. Call us on 03 5772 1045.
